Before the Geneva Motor Show 2010 hits next month, Peugeot wanted to make a little hit of their own with the new 5 by Peugeot concept car. The 5 by Peugeot is to be the inspiration for the new Peugeot 508 sedan, a wider and longer take on the Peugeot’s of yesteryear. The 5 by Peugeot is to be powered by a 2.0L 163 hp diesel engine that runs in concert with a 37 hp electric motor mounted in back, combining for an efficient 200 hybrid horses. 5 by Peugeot will run for a limited stretch on electricity alone, giving your short urban commutes a gasless, green sensibility. Expect to see more of the 5 by Peugeot at the GMS this March… and a production-ready version of this one is likely a lot closer than you might think… [peugeot via autoblog]
