To Philippe de Trelystan, although I doubt he’ll be around to reply. What else do people call umbrellas? I’m not American, but that’s the term I and pretty much everyone I know calls an unmbrella!!

The only other term I can think of is “brolly” but that’s slang for umbrella.

back in the 18th and 19th centuries umbrellas were used instead of swords which had been outlawed after people kept dying in deuls.
So the sword umbrella is more like engineering coming full circle. All they need to do is make them with a real point again and we’re back to what gentlemen carried during the victorian age.
Very steampunk actually.

I like the flask umbrella, however it is hard to drink and stay dry when you use it… Kinda more for show…
