Architect Isay Weinfeld designed Las Piedras Fasano, a hotel located on a rocky hillside in Punta del Esta, Uruguay. At a distance this center for luxury hospitality looks like a series of cubic buildings sprinkled along the side of the hill. A closer look shows the thoughtfulness of design that uses the natural rocky and grassy terrain to compliment the structures. Each square bungalow faces over the hillside and have gaping windows allowing the flow of natural light into the suites. The simple and bare exterior allows for the natural scenery to remain the focal point.[via yatzer]
