Martian Landscapes in the Eyes of HiRISE

For over two years, the Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter (MRO) has been orbiting that tiny red planet many million miles away from Earth.  Using it’s HiRISE Camera system (or High Resolution Imaging Science Experiment), the MRO has captured breathtaking images of the Martian landscape.  These photos are truly otherwordly, providing a glimpse into the surface nature of the great red rock of Mars.  These images speak for themselves… but be sure to take a close look at the gallery below, see if you can spot the Mars Rover tred trails in one of the images.
