First things first, introductions! Asking a girl her name might seem like a no-brainer, but when you first meet someone it’s easy to gloss over their name.
Simple questions will get the ball rolling. Go ahead and ask about her current occupation. Maybe the two of you are in the same field and can geek out and talk shop together.
When she was growing up, did she dream of being a veterinarian or a rocket scientist? Has she grown up to succeed in the career field she dreamt of as a child?
She could have a birthday coming up soon, giving you two an excuse to hang out. (As if you needed an excuse to see her.)
Does she celebrate her birthday as if it’s a national holiday, or does she enjoy a quieter night in with her friends? This question is a good follow-up to asking when her birthday is.
Asking about medical history is a social faux pas when you’re only beginning to get to know someone. But asking about minor injuries, such as a broken arm, is harmless.
Ask her about her literary prowess. Is she an avid reader or does she just find comfort in a certain novel series? If you’re a bibliophile, you’ll certainly have something to add to this question.
