California based artist Andres Amador uses full moons to his advantage by creating massive works of art drawn in the sand at low tide. Often times Amador is assisted by several people using every day rakes to etch the intricate designs into the sand that often compliment the surrounding elements. The seemingly extraterrestrial designs are almost reminiscent of a field with crop circles, only to make absolute sense from an aerial perspective. Each sand painting washes away shortly after its completion, only to be enjoyed by the few that are aware of its presence. [via thisiscolossal]
