The Japanese architecture firm no.555 has completed work on a playful modern home in Fukushima.  The KKC House is a two-section raised home that is bisected by an extension of the plot around it.  A green staircase rises from the back yard in continuation of the children’s playground, where mini-golf and kids games can be enjoyed within the view of parents.

The interior is clean and comfortable, lit by the sun as it enters flapped exterior windows and the floor-to-ceiling glass inside.  One entire section is dedicated to common space, with a kitchen, dining area, media center and more.  The other is private, holding bedrooms and baths that are blocked from exterior view.

Every inch of this home appears to be designed with children in mind, as the yard continues to play areas under the home’s two sections.  While this might be a child’s dream home, we imagine the parents are just as much in love with this open modern environment.  [via designboom]
