Modern Tasmanian Barn Transformation

slide dezeen john wardle architects shearers quarters north bruny island tazmania 1 Modern Tasmanian Barn Transformation

John Wardle of John Wardle Architects transformed his guest house from an old sheep shearer’s quarters to a contemporary getaway. This humble, comfortable space sits on a prime plot of farm land overlooking the waters of northern Bruny Island in Tasmania. Corrugated iron panels and large floor to ceiling windows create a traditional-neets-contemporary aesthetic to the exterior of the home. A unique angular roof seems to move in unison with the natural hilly nature of the landscape. An organic relationship exists between the outdoor scenery and quaint wood boarded interior of the living quarters.   [via fastcodedesign]
