It’s been a big day for the Berlinetta.  First, Ferrari revealed its fastest vehicle ever, the Ferrari F12 Berlinetta, then Kidston showed off the 1953 Fiat 8V Series 1 Berlinetta it’ll be showing at auction this year.  It might be difficult to discern the most beautiful from the duo, but we’ll just go ahead and love them each in their own unique way.  The 1953 Fiat 8V Series 1 is an absolutely magnificent automobile, restored to mint and ready for auction for an assumed price of over $600,000.  This two-door, two-seat speedster is one of 114 ever made, a throwback for its time that brought stiff competition to the more athletic, next gen racers of its time.  While this beauty was once designated as scrap, it was faithfully restored starting in the 1990s, where its owner spent over $200,000 to bring it back to its original glory.  If these photographs are any indication, this vehicle might be one of the most rare and elegant classics on the market today.  If only the Kidston auctions would accept IOU’s…
