The Italian supercars of the 1960s and 70s have inspired a new series of watches by Autodromo, namely the Autodromo Vallelunga Chronograph. The racing tachometers of mid-century Ferraris, Alfa Romeos and others had distinct, minimal dial designs which return to take center stage in this watch. As the traditional tachometer terminates when an engine’s RPMs redline, so do the minute markers on this watch’s face. It is a subtle point of character that only a motor addict would recognize, a nice touch for this decidedly minimal design.
