The Norwegian architects from the MMW architectural firm have created the GAD mobile art gallery from reclaimed shipping containers. The unique industrial-styled gallery is composed of ten shipping container units that stack together and enable the entire building to be constructed in just a matter of days. At completion, GAD sits three stories high and even has a rooftop terrace for guests to enjoy. The elongated inside exhibit space has large glass windows at both ends to allow natural sunlight to provide for optimal art observation. This unique an innovative concept is similar to the Sugoroku Office by Daiken-Met Architects. [via inhabitat]
