Old meets new in this amazing apartment rehab in Tel Aviv, Israel. The Jaffa Apartment by Pitsou Kedem Architect is a design than maintains the architectural history of its building while pushing the envelope with a progressive, minimal interior. The apartment’s cavernous, brick-stone supports and ceiling have been left nude, unadorned with alterations that would only detract from their beauty. The lighting, the art and the furniture follow this focus on simplicity, performing their duties while not drawing the eyes from the grand appearance of the building. Another prime feature of this apartment is its view of the Mediterranean, where a small wrap-around balcony reaches into the seas. It is high living in this Tel Aviv environment, where history meets modern, minimal design. [via yatzer]

So love this design! Bringing the old and new together is exactly what Israel is to me, like this apartment. I would adore living in this and taking in the breathe of the sea and ancient walls. This apartment is my dream.
