Chris Fraser practices the age old trick of camera obscura to manipulate light entering a dark room to create light beam art. The sharp and crisp lines of light drawn in various directions across the room appear to be the work of a laser. However the rays of light are natural and a result of stragegically placed holes in the walls and ceiling of the dark enclosed space. Fraser is able to create a cosmic and crystalline ambiance by perfecting and mastering an ordinary technique, showing that it is possible to teach an old dog new tricks. [via fastcodedesign]
