50 years ago, the first Swiss time piece to enter orbit did so on the wrist of astronaut John Glenn. The TAG Heuer Carrera SpaceX 1887 is a new tribute to that original TAG Heuer, featuring the 43mm Carrera 1887 horological machine. TAG Heuer announced that the new watch will be released this year, starting in October, to commemorate 50 years of other-worldly watchmaking. 2,012 units will be available in this limited run, priced at $5,800 a piece.
