A three-way collaboration between a Lebanese entrepreneur and a pair of European motorsports brands has produced what might be the most expensive supercar available today. The W Motors Lykan Hypersport features an aggressive, angular body design with a RUF-sourced powertrain within, capable of shattering the 200mph mark and doing so in a heartbeat. The Lykan Hypersport is powered by a 750hp flat-six engine with an estimated 0-62 acceleration of only 2.8 seconds. On the top end, W Motors expects the Lykan Hypersport to top out at 240 mph, possibly the top speed statistic we’ve ever covered from a production vehicle.
Seven of the W Motors Lykan Hypersport models will be produced, and each buyer will need a small fortune to acquire one. They are expected to sell for $3.4M each, the highest price we’ve seen for a supercar since we’ve been in publication. That places it in line with the Aston Martin One-77, the Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport, the Lamborghini Reventon and others. The Lykan Hypersport isn’t just a conceptual pipe dream, it is in production today and can be purchased now– assuming you’ve got more than a few million lying around… [via highsnobiety and gtspirit]
