OMG, does the PC industry not even apologize for blatantly ripping off Apple’s design cues? This looks JUST like a MacBook Pro – TOO much, in fact. I guess they just wait for Apple to come out with their designs, then figure out how they can copy it. Keep up the good work, guys.
Entirely agree! My first thought was- this is a bastardized Macbook.
You may be right, about their copying Mac. However, buyers often make their decisions based upon price. Macs are simply over priced for what you get.
I do not salute copying, in any form, but must admit from a dollars and cents point of view I’d go here.

I don’t know what you three are talking about. That’s hardly ripping off if its just a simplistic design. Its like saying that a chair company ripped off anyone chair company just because both of their products have 4 legs, a seat, and a back rest. Now before you start flaming me for being a PC fan boy, the fact is that I use a MAC and am personally ashamed of it because of the extreme lack to coding ability and software that is available. Sure there are no viruses, but if your dumb enough to no have the correct virus software then you shouldn’t be aloud to use a computer.

Hmm, the ‘price argument’ is a funny one since the HP is more expensive than the equivalent MBP.
Leaving that aside the achilles heel in the entire non-Mac industry is the OS; Windows is utter garbage. I’d rather take my chances running Linux…
So in the ultimate turn about – you’re going to pay more for a ripped off design and failure of an OS when you buy the HP over a MBP. Doesn’t make sense..
Really?
A fully loaded Envy 15 with 320 RAID 0 SSD, 8Gb and Intel i7 Proc was $2500. A MBP cost more for less. And they don’t even have an i7 yet. You can fault HP for questionable support, but certainly not for not being an Apple.
