Continuing our obsession with abandoned places, here’s a stunning set of black-and-white photographs of the ruins of the sea.  Photographer Jan Smith has captured a collection of abandoned ships on shores throughout the world, still and lifeless having grounded out beyond repair.  The textured character of these decaying vessels tells a story of times past, where industry washed ashore and has been left to be forgotten.  Fortunately, Jan Smith has resurrected these forgotten vessels through this very artful photography.
