The Surf by Stuart Gibson
Photographer Stuart Gibson has found a lovely muse in the rough waters off the coast of Tasmania, Australia. The force of the surf on sand has created some incredible images, with daring sport surfers as a focal point. These photos are filled with the power of nature– the monstrous curve of the waves, the rocky coast in the background and the graceful surfer within. Spectacular!
Living in Australia with the proliferation of surf culture, it’s not often I get stopped by a surf photo. The central piece is brilliant, superbly timed and composed. Almost graffiti-esque wave burst with a saturated flare of sunlight.
