Teague and Nike have banded together to create “the athlete’s plane”, a training facility for high-flying athletes. Basically, it’s a combination pre- and post-game treatment and training facility, designed to serve every need a professional team could possibly have.
Using data gathered by Nike’s researchers, the two agencies combined smart clothes, ergonomics, and biometric technology to ensure that athletes are properly cared for in transit. Sleeping quarters are designed to be absolutely ideal, and every component of the plane is designed with a particular purpose in mind; the interior of the plane is divided into a number of specialized ‘zones’ for study, sleep, medical care, meals, simple relaxation…you get the idea. There’s also a collection of data monitoring gear, to help keep track of players’ well-being and address any problems they might discover.
The whole thing is controlled by a mobile command center, where coaches and support staff will presumably spend much of the flight.
Thanks to Nike and Teague, flying just got a whole lot more pleasant. Well…if you’re a professional athlete, anyway. For all the rest of us, it still kind of sucks.
